Invest In Yourself

Investing in education is one thing I am very passionate about. Take classes, build relationships and connections, better your skills. The Emerge Workshop was the first ever workshop I attended, let me tell ya, I am SO glad that I did! There are so many incredible and talented creatives in this industry, and to meet, work with and learn from them was a great learning experience!

A few things that I learned within this workshop are….

• Always bring backups for your backup SD Cards ( silly me didn’t clear the photos from my previous session)
• Plann is a FANTASTIC app and tool for mapping out your social media
• You can only use the same hashtags every 48 hours for them to be effective
• Be confident in your worth and your work
• Keeping a consistent theme between your platforms. This to me, being a designer, is one thing that I found as a no brainer. BUT, it is so so easy to overlook. It is very important to be intentional with your colors, your graphics, your posts, etc. Your future clients need to know who you are when reading your posts, and you need to sound like yourself.
• SHOW YO FACE. Being present on social media is SUCH an important aspect to growing a business. You are more than likely to book with someone if you know who you’re going to be working with, right?
