I had so much fun meeting up with Jake and Karlee for their Hobart Nature Preserve engagement session!
Karlee and Jake met one night when they were at E&R’S in Yorkshire. They were both with their groups of friends, but Karlee struck Jake’s eye. He walked up and started a conversation with her. He asked for her number, and their story went from there!
After dating a while, Jake knew he wanted to marry Karlee. He came up with the perfect plan for the proposal. Jake told Karlee that they had an engagement party to attend for one of his friends. Before going to the party, they went for a drive in his truck and drove to a cool old abandoned schoolhouse on land that Jake farms. They drove down a long drive, and he told Karlee to get out of the truck. It was pouring rain outside, so they ran inside the schoolhouse, but she did not understand why she had to get out. As he was talking, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the engagement ring. Karlee immediately started crying happy tears. She couldn’t believe it! Then Jake explains that the engagement party they were going to was for them!
It was so enjoyable getting to know Karlee and Jake! They are such a sweet and down-to-earth couple and are perfect for each other. Their favorite thing to do on a date is going out to eat at their favorite restaurant or spending quality time together in the tractor on their farm!
The Hobart Nature Preserve was the perfect location for their engagement photos with the tall grass fields and the white barn. The sun was shining through the trees; it was a beautiful summer night!
